The Faroe Islanders have always eaten what nature could provide. Hunting pilot whales and seabirds kept them alive for generations, but today they face a grave threat to this tradition. In the midst of the controversy surrounding whaling, it is the whales themselves who threaten the Faroese way of life, or rather the toxic whale meat of our ever more polluted oceans. A documentary of breathtakingly imagery about a community’s struggle with the cost of tradition, the film also serves as a wakeup call to the rest of the world.
